Patrick makes breakfast himself

The old horse stable and the space beneath the house were both rebuilt from the ground up, with one aim: to give guests a place that is genuinely finished. In April 2025 the doors opened to the first guests.

Every morning he is in the kitchen himself. Tell him what time you’d like to eat and the basket is at your door on the dot — fresh bread, regional produce and, if the hens have done their bit, an egg from the property. Dietary requirements? Mention them when you book and breakfast is made to match.

“Patrick brought breakfast at the time we had agreed, in a lovely basket. It was good, and not overdone the way you sometimes see on B&B television programmes.”

Jeanette, Teteringen

Good to know

Who this place is for

De Paardenstal is a quiet place for adults. And there is something here for everyone: walking and cycling through the polder, shopping on the Voorstraat, a terrace by the harbour and a nature island full of wild birds half an hour away.

Adults

The stays are set up for adult guests and are not suitable for young children.

Dogs welcome, by arrangement

Several guests have already come with their dog. Mention it in your request and we will sort it out.

Smoking outside

No smoking indoors. Outside you are very comfortable, looking out over the fields.

Parking on site

Park free of charge right outside your own front door.

The place

The hamlet of Zinkweg

The B&B lies in the hamlet of Zinkweg, some three kilometres from Oud-Beijerland. Open farmland starts on the other side of the road; behind the yard it runs on to the horizon. In the evening you mostly hear wind and birds.
